Demons of Mental illness Illustrated as Real Monsters by Toby Allen

Toby Allen or ZestyDoesThings, is a UK based illustrator. He mostly illustrates his favorite things and also makes a few Indie computer games. This artist, suffering from Anxiety decided to illustrates Mental Illnesses as Real Monsters from Anxiety to Depression to Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Allen created these artworks with the intention  of giving these intangible mental illnesses some substance and make them appear more manageable as physical entities. Allen said the response to his work has been hugely positive thanks to its presence on Tumblr. He first started sharing the images in 2013.

Mr Allen says he started by designing the Anxiety monster as anxiety is something familiar to him meaning he found the design came naturally.
