Share Your World – July 9, 2018

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

Overcoming Myself” an autobiography of a woman who learns to overcome low self-esteem, neglect, verbal abuse, physical abuse and chronic disease.  I’ve learned to succeed despite the seeds of doubt sown by others and believed by me (for many years).  This story is about a single mother who overcame poverty,  waiting for the government cheese truck to come into town, to become financially independent and debt free.   This is about the exploits of a woman who was afraid to even take public transportation, who now relishes the solo international trip to an unknown country

Which do you prefer sweet, salty or buttery?

homemade-bread-and-butterI like sweet after a meal, savory and salty becomes my most frequent indulgence.  BUT I LOVE BUTTER.   If I could eat anything I would love to have fresh baked rolls or bread smothered in fresh homemade butter like I used to make for my Grandmother.

What’s the finest education?

Personally, I think everyone should go to college.  It expands your mind, teaches you not only the academics but diversity.  We remain virtually isolated at home during elementary school or during those years we remain at home under our parent’s wing. Now I’m not saying that college is the finest education, but it sets you not only on a path of acceptance of change but enables your thought processes to mature and think logically.

Like anything you learn in life, everything begins with the basic building blocks, every experience builds on another.  When life delivers those crises in your life, you learn how to overcome them, when life delivers joy, you learn from experience how to appreciate what has been given to you.  Life gives you the finest education, you just need to take the steps to make the most of this teaching

What made you smile this past week?

Knowing that the “purge” has begun in my life.  Getting my life and finances ready for retirement has also now given me the opportunity to purge my household of the material things I thought I needed but now know are just cluttering my environment.  I’ve also started to purge my lifestyle and am trying to walk on a healthier path.  Although I have been extremely careful these last 4 years, it has been a road of discovery to see exactly what causes the pain, and what I can do to avoid it.  A new door is opening for me and I have to make it as successful as I have made the past.
