Exploring sights and sounds to move the soul

My home in Colorado is probably one of the most comfortable homes I’ve owned, I know it’s been a place that I have truly grown and found myself-become the woman I wanted to be.  I knew this was my home the moment I walked in the door and finally felt like I belonged when I moved in.  I have had many homes, in many locations, with partners, husbands, children, and dogs.  Now it is just me and Oberon in this big house and that’s okay.

Aging is funny and growing into your own sometimes doesn’t seem to jive.  I wish I had been as secure and confident in myself at a younger age, but what matters now is where I am now and to tell the truth I’m happy with me.  I’m happy with the home I’ve made for myself. It is my sanctuary and often becomes a sanctuary for friends that need some silence from the world and peace from their troubles.
