If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?
Last year before I needed to renew my drivers license and go to Paris, I needed to have cataract surgery on both eyes, otherwise I would have failed my drivers license test and wouldn’t have been able to see anything in Paris. I’ve worn glasses and contacts since I was a small girl. I tried all kinds of readers to figure out what was going wrong with my vision and it was the cataracts. Finally, getting the surgery gave me the opportunity to go bionic and get special lenses (toric) that also removed the astigmatism. At least it did for a year… I can still now drive legally without glasses, but since my last appointment, my cornea has changed and now need reading glasses and it helps with the astigmatism, so things aren’t double. I prefer glasses over contact.. and frankly I kind of missed my rimless hippie glasses and glad I have them back.
Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?
I’ve had cats before, but can’t live without my dogs. Well, maybe a week or two without any pets, especially while on vacation. LOL
If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?
- NEW! I’ve never had a new house.
- Next house will be small, under a 1000 square feet and on one level
- Next to water
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
What inspires me to go on everyday and push through some of the difficulties and emotions that I face with chronic illness is the thought that there is no other choice. I can’t give up, I can only depend on myself and the choices I make determine the success or failure, the happiness or sadness, it is all up to me. What direction do I want to take? Frankly, I strive to stay out of the darkness and the failure. It’s not always easy, but its my compass in life.
