Learn Photography – 4 – Breathing Space

Learn Photography – 4 – Breathing Space

Following the rule of thirds is always a good idea and although both of these photos follow the rule of thirds, without the breathing space of the first photo you lose the “story” of a young man’s summer adventure with the ladybug.  You can tell more about the boy, the time of year, and about the boy.

Hey, nice pictures, Hope this is your contribution to XDrive sessions. Welcome to my blog and thanks for participating.
I like the first picture a lot, I feel there is a “Breathing Space” considering that Lady Bug is your subject. I like this perspective better as it shows a boy who is caring the bug, but not too much of the boy if you do then importance for the bug is gone and boy becomes your subject.. basically its what you want to show off in your picture.
Second picture is more of a closeup shot but unfortunately it misses the sharp focus.
Hope that makes sense.. Thank you once again wish to see your contributions in the future too..
