Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

Athens 2017My go-to drink is always water.  I never drink soda pop or soft drinks, only drink tea or coffee in the mornings. Occasionally, you might talk me into a glass of white wine. But water always quenches my thirst.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Never have I truly given up.  I might get discouraged at times with some of my efforts and think I should give up on something, Whether it be a task, a goal, my health, a person or an ideal, as much as it may discourage me at times, I finally attack the problem or persevere and finally achieve what I am trying to do.  I admit, there are some things, like my health that I am still working on, but I won’t give up.

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

This might sound a little sappy, but I would like to be given the gift of love from the one meant for me in this lifetime.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

I’m an insomniac and the fibromyalgia also keeps me awake quite frequently because of the pain.  I do several things.  I use my hot tub before bedtime to relax and warm up.  I do guided meditation.  I may have a cup of chamomile tea.   I also use essential oils in a diffuser to help and melatonin occasionally.  I have a whole arsenal of tricks for the different levels of pain and insomnia caused by chronic and persistent pain.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so grateful I got to visit Athens, I loved it. The country was beautiful and relaxing and coming home to my puppy was very good.  He seems to have calmed down since I’ve come home.   I’m looking forward to seeing my grandchildren this next weekend, it will be great to see them and give them their little souvenirs from my travels.
