Roman Ruins

Step Back in Time

Yes, I have traced my genealogy to Scotland, but I have also been able to trace it back to Roman times as well.  This was an exciting time for me. It seemed surreal to read and discover this kind of history when each step in the discovery took me further back in time. Knowing this when I visited Rome, made walking down the narrow passageways and through the ruins of Rome even more special.

Ancestry.com. I have one line of my family that i traced to those times through birth records. One line that had enough royalty in it to keep those records. Of course, there is one line of my family I lose at only 4 generations back as well because they were either native american or no record kept. Its a matter of persistence and fact checking. I have one line that claims ancestry to mythology as well. Lol. So far I have about 8000 ancestors in my family tree.

Some really interesting stories, and some places where the tree doesn’t branch. LOL
