Rise of the Blood Moon – 2015

Last week, Queensland did some moon gazing. Last year I was driving along a lonely piece of road, Highway 83, in Colorado. It was the night of the Blood Moon and my first attempt at taking a moon photo.  I didn’t own a tripod, so I sat my camera on the hood of my car and waited on the side.  Soon after I parked and started taking photos other cars pulled up behind me to watch the spectacle. We had a perfect spot in the spaciousness of the Colorado landscape to get this unobstructed view.
