Sentence – “to be taken to the castle hill in Edinburgh and their head stricken from their bodies”
The monarchy had to maintain law and order in the most brutal and horrific way possible, and my ancestor, Archibald Campbell was one that met this sentence one night. Dragged from his home, to the square in front of St. Giles Cathedral the Maiden stood waiting for him.
