Last year I planted some new tulips and fortunately got back from my travels just in time to see them bloom! Since I arrived home past 2 in the morning, I didn’t see what was there greeting me until I had to go to the market to fill my empty refrigerator. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I had missed all the spring blooms.

The flower is said to have “originated” from Turkey. Since Greece and Turkey are so close geographically, would it not also had been native there? Would you ask the locals to give an unbiased answer?

Since I’m home now, I’ll have to wait until I go back. And I loved Greece , it deserves a second visit.

awe! Ok no worries. We are sure another journey is in the offing. Still think it was a good question to ponder over though.
